How do you organize a trip of two weeks to explore South Africa, for the most financially efficient, but so comfortable?
I will be organizing the flights myself. Need some advice for example on the reliability of local travel agents in Africa South that would help me make a good tourist package together with the motorway, the route of good, comfortable, but not hotels hearded with a group of 20 or so make-thirsty foreign package holidays …:-)
Thompson Tours is a travel agency very good reliability (www.thompsons.co.za) shortly). It's really easy to rent a car from AVIS, for example (which can be done online) or www.argusrentals.com International (I found has a great – I recommend at least three nights. All national parks in South Africa are large and scattered across the country, so that you actually plan culd vacation of two weeks to sleep in various national parks (if you are very interested in nature). See www.sanparks.org – here you can also book accommodation in national parks. The Garden Route is so beautiful along the South Africa / South Coast with plenty of places to stay. Cape Town is a must, so much to see, I recommend at least three days there. Feel free to ask me more questions about South Africa (I live here now).
