Who decided that the punk / alternative / metal and other "scene" is only for whites?
There is even a term specifically known for non-whites who love this music and "participate in this scene" ~ ~ "Afro-punk (sometimes spelled Afropunk or AfroPunk) refers to the participation of African Americans and other black people in the punk and alternative music cultures. Afro-punks are a minority in the North American punk scene. However, they represent a majority in the punk culture in the predominantly black areas of the world that have thriving communities punk, as in parts of Brazil and Africa. There are many punk rock bands with black members, and several queues that are all black. "Who started music about race? Am I the only one who finds this slightly offensive term. Seeing as how its" acceptable "for white and Asian, even non-Hispanic African ~ take advantage of this "scene" without being labeled with, but the color of your skin automatically pin a label on you if you are black?
I feel the same way .. well I'm not in the rock or punk, but I love music and kpop I am black and people find that odd, but if one of my white friends listened to kpop 2, No. 1 say nothing about them and they would probably not that strange sound at all, they only think its strange if a black person likes different music instead of just rap or something.
