im interested to know if there is a real meaning for the Algerian love knot necklace worn by Vesper Lynd in the movie Casino Royale James Bond, or whether it was created specially for the film? Any help appreciated

It's to do with the man The Chiffe is to blackmail her. It has to transfer money into this account to free her lover. thats the impression i get anyway. I think its supposed to be a clue to the twist in the story to end.
