
Despite a struggling economy, Las Vegas Strip has a full course of developments at various stages of completion. Some have been delayed due to financial problems, others prey to accidents and unforeseen circumstances. Although the band is almost reached the limit in terms of properties empty, the older hotels are either reworked or scrapped and replaced with ultra-modern, ultra-luxury giants billion dollars.
Here is a summary of some of the largest projects underway on the Las Vegas Strip.

The site is on 24.5 acres, north of the Côte d'Azur and consists of 4,000 hotel rooms / Condo and casino. The Fontainebleau is built on the same site as the El Rancho and Algiers casinos.
Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino: Located on 8.5 acres, right on the strip, the $ 3.5 billion Cosmopolitan will consist of two towers of glass, 1,000 hotel rooms, 2,000 condos, a casino and retail space. The completion date is scheduled for 2010.
City Center Project: The proposed $ 8.1 billion collaboration between MGM Mirage and Dubai World, which hold 50 percent of the project. It is the largest privately financed development in North America. Although CityCenter has had its share of delays in lack of finances, injuries and workers on strike, the date scheduled for completion in 2009. Delano – Designed with Miami style reminiscent of its counterpart South Beach, the Delano has 550 rooms and suites, swimming pools at several levels with private cabanas, a spa, fitness center and restaurants.
Mondrian – 860 rooms, suites and lofts designed with a Hollywood style. The Mondrian contains plenty of nightlife, 70,000 square feet of meeting space and restaurants specialty.
Shangri-La – The Asia-Pacific hotel have worked their magic in this tranquil environment near hotel serene. There are 350 rooms and suites, 29,000 square feet of meeting space, two specialty restaurants and a spa Asian theme.
With hotels and restaurants, Echelon also has High Street Echelon (300,000 square feet of shopping madness), a 140,000 square foot casino, two theaters, an exhibition 4000 and a more intimate sitting room 1500.
