What are the requirements in Tunisia or Algeria for marriage between American women and Algerian men?
I am wondering what you have to do to marry someone from Algeria if you are an American and also how long it takes to get married.Does anyone know this or where I can go to find out these things ? I want to know information about this in Tunisia and also in Algeria if anyone knows.Thanks.
I have got to answer this. The other answers you got came from some very uneducated, racist jerks. I met and married an Algerian man. I met him 4 years ago from this month. Been married to him for almost 3. He is not a “towel head” never seen him wear anything on his head but a baseball cap. The Algerian people are the sweetest kindest people. My husband is educated unlike the others that answered you. His whole family including mom and dad have college degrees. 2 of his brother are doctors. My husband is the most loving, compassionate, romantic man I have ever met. Algeria is more like France, and not the middle east. So to the ones that gave smart a** answers, get a book and educate yourself, before you try to answer questions.
Now to answer your question. I went to Algeria to get married., but it is very difficult to get all the paperwork in order. I was only there a month and it wasn’t enough time. It was heartbreaking. I came home and applied for a K-1 visa. It took 6 months for him to get his visa and come to the USA. The visa gives 90 days to get married.
